Charity

Parkinson's UK
Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson's. Because we're here, no one has to face Parkinson's alone. We bring people with Parkinson's, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information on every aspect of Parkinson's. As the UK's Parkinson's support and research charity we're leading the work to find a cure, and we're closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependant on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's.

Hi and huge thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

On 29th March 2013 David Blow and Anthony Foy are attempting to complete the longest non-stop canoe race in the world and one of the most demanding open-to-all endurance events on the planet.

‘The Devizes to Westminster’ 125-mile International Canoe Marathon from Devizes, Wiltshire down the Kennet & Avon Canal, along the River Thames and into the heart of London is a challenge that takes the body and mind to the absolute limits.

In undertaking this challenge we have chosen to raise money for 'Parkinson's UK' as when Anthony’s dad was diagnosed with the progressive neurological condition it changed from something that you just hear about to something much closer to our hearts.

We really appreciate all of your support and thank you for all of your donations. We would also like to remind you that any support along the side of river bank is very much welcomed as we be in much need of it!

"Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. Your donations will be quickly processed and passed straight onto charities."
