Charity

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust is the county's largest environment charity. We currently protect and restore 60 nature reserves throughout the county. There are wetlands in the Severn Vale, cliff-hugging woodlands along the River Wye, heathland in the Forest of Dean, wild daffodils around Newent, flower filled meadows in the Cotswolds, lakes in the Cotswold Water Park and ancient woodlands in the Stroud Valleys. Working with local communities, businesses and landowners we aim to help protect our wild places and wildlife for future generations. We also work with over 120 of Gloucestershire schools where we aim to educate, inspire and connect children with their environment. 'The Wildlife Trusts play a very important part in protecting our natural heritage. I would encourage anyone who cares about wildlife to join them' - Sir David Attenborough, Vice President of The Wildlife Trusts.
