Martin House Hospice care for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses, and provide support to their families. We are based in our purpose built hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby and care for children and young people from throughout the Yorkshire region.
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. "It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."

Flaxby to Flanders
Hello and welcome to the Wates Construction Fundraising page for our 2010 charity cycle ride.
Following on from the great success of 2008 where we cycled from Bridlington to Blackpool raising over £35k for charity, we decided to take on a new greater challenge.
The ride is going to take place on Friday 24th to Sunday 26th September starting at The Flaxby Project in Harrogate and finishing in Flanders, Belgium. All the riders taking part have committed to cycle the whole route covering 130 miles over 2 days.
