SATRO
SATRO are a highly effective education charity which inspires and enthuses young people in Surrey and the South East about the world of work through hands-on activities and events. We work with volunteers from the worlds of business, science, technology and engineering to provide opportunities for young people from 5 - 19 to reach their full potential by means of Mobile Construction Classrooms, Business Games, Mentoring, Company Challenges and Primary Science and lots more.

Colleagues at Willmott Dixon Construction, Cobham & Dartford Regional Offices will be attempting the three peaks challenge over the 30 June 2012 to 1 July 2012.

There will be eight teams of 5-6 walkers, plus 2 drivers per team.

SATRO is a not-for-profit educational charity which provides valuable activities for young people in Surrey and beyond.

In common with many small Charities, SATRO no longer receives any national or local government funding - all our activities are supported by voluntary donations, company sponsorship, charitable foundations, grant making trusts or by income generated from activities in schools. Schools activities are to a greater or lesser extent subsidised by the different sources of income we are able to access.

Without funding, we are unable to reach the 15,000 young people we interacted with in 2011.

Our ‘New Futures’ Fundraising campaign is to ensure we can continue this valuable work, at a time when young people are really in need of inspiration about their futures.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
