The MS Society is the UK's largest organisation dedicated to supporting the 100,000 people, their families and carers affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common neurological disorder among young adults and is usually diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 45. Our key services and projects include a national freephone helpline, support for young people caring for families or relatives with MS, funding a dedicated MRI scanner for the diagnosis of MS, providing award-winning information publications and offering welfare grants for home adapdations and wheelchairs.
Hope Against Cancer (The Hope Foundation) raises money to fund Cancer Research Projects in the Hospitals and Universities of Leicester and Leicestershire. Since 2003 the people of Leicestershire and Rutland have raised in excess of £3m, which has funded 29 Research Projects in many areas of Cancer. Youthful Hope was launched in 2009, with the aim at introducing teenagers to research programmes and highlighting key lifestyle factors that have strong cancer implications. In May 2012, Hope opened a Clinical Trials unit in the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the first of it's kind outside London, along with funding a Hope nurse for the unit. By supporting cancer research today we aim to develop effective treatments for the future. Where there's Hope, There's Life.

Well, my planned ride around the world hit a problem - with me picking up an injured arm and having to come home when reaching Odessa. But so I can still raise money for the two charities, all the equipment I had can be borrowed for your own well-mad bike ride.
