Hi, thanks for visiting our page.
It's that time of life when we need to make a mark, both in terms of a personal challenge and doing something for others. Consequently, Brian, Colin, Leanda, Mary and Linda have all committed to Oxfam's Trailwalker event which involves walking 100k/62 miles of the South Downs Way in under 30 hours. That's the equivalent of two and a half marathons and up and down Ben Nevis and Snowdon all in one go.
Preparation is already underway for the challenge, which takes place over the weekend of 16th and 17th July 2011. Accommodation is booked, walking boots are broken in and the support team is lined up to assist. We now just need to get ourselves fully fit and secure some sponsorshop.

- £10 can buy farming tools to enable people to harvest crops, feed families and earn a living
- £20 can buy a family hygiene kit to help prevent the spread of disease and save lives
- £50 is the equivalent of two months pension payments for an ex-Gurkha
