Hello Sponsor

Thank you for visiting our page.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Guys and St Thomas' charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Trust  arranged a fun but challenging event for our employees in partnership with the Guy's and St. Thomas' Charity to get physical , demonstrating that keeping fit an healthy can be fun and energising while raising money for a good cause.

We undertook a 4 hour Zumbathon, that's 240 minutes of Latin inspired, exhilarating, calorie-burning dance fitness that will kept us moving to reach our goal. Everyone who took part was awesome; their half hour, one hour, two hours and four hour contributions kept the event going and maintained a special buzz throughout. Four participants kept going for the full four hours. The picture above shows some of the zumbathon participants post zumbathon.

The staff who  volunteered to participate in this event also demonstrated the extra mile that our staff will go to in support of their colleagues and the Trust.

For those of you in the 2012 Challenge your participation and fundraising in the zumbathon will also count towards your challenge.

The following departments were represented: Midwifery, Ophthalmology, Dental, Medical physics, Workforce, immunology, CSSD, Chief Nurse dept Chief Executive office, Community nursing, General outpatients, CPOA/SAL.

 About the Charity

Your support can go a long way towards helping our patients make a faster recovery by enabling the hospital to purchase the best equipment and technology, improving the hospital wards and providing therapies not available on the NHS. We are supporting Guy's and St Thomas' Charity because they are experts in cancer, obstetrics and gynaecology, and cardiology. Because their research into haemophilia could inprove treatment within five years. Because they pioneered the use of robotic surgery. Because together we can... make London healthier
