Adding videos to your page

Adding a video to your Virgin Money Giving page is a fun way to let people know what you’re up to. Why not use a short clip to tell people about your event and why they should sponsor you, explain the great work your charity does or post a thank you message for the donations you’ve received.

We’ve teamed up with YouTube to host videos on Virgin Money Giving so it couldn’t be easier. Simply choose an option below – you can add as many videos as you like in the middle of your page, and one video at a time on the right of your page.

I’d like to add a video on the right of my page

If you’re setting up a new fundraising page, after you’ve signed in or registered your details with us click the ‘create my page’ button.

If you’ve already got a fundraising page, sign into your Virgin Money Giving account and click ‘update my page’ on the left. If you have more than one fundraising page, click the one you’d like to add your video to. Then click ‘amend fundraiser page’ at the top of the screen.

You’ll now see a preview of your page where you can add text and widgets. Tick the ‘Video’ box at the top of the page and a ‘Video’ panel will appear on your page under your fundraising total.

Enter the full web address (URL) of the YouTube video you’d like to upload into the ‘Video’ panel, then click ‘update’ to add your video.

Changing your video
To change videos follow step 1 above, then delete the web address from the ‘Video’ panel and enter the address for the new video.

Removing your video
To remove your video follow step 1 above, then remove the tick from the ‘Video’ box at the top of the page.

I’d like to add a video in the middle of my page

I’m setting up a new fundraising page
After you’ve signed in or registered your details with us, click the ‘create my page’ button.

I’ve already got a fundraising page
Sign into your Virgin Money Giving account and click ‘update my page’ on the left. If you have more than one fundraising page, click the one you’d like to add your video to. Then click ‘amend fundraiser page’ at the top of the screen.

You’ll now see a preview of your page where you can add text and widgets. Place your cursor in the ‘about you’ box, at the point you’d like your video to appear. This could be before, after or in the middle of any wording.

Now click the

icon from the row of symbols at the top of the ‘about you’ panel – a new box will appear.

Enter the full web address (URL) of the YouTube video you'd like to upload, then click 'insert'. When your video has been added, you'll see a yellow box where you chose to place the video (don't worry that you can't see your video - the yellow box means it has been uploaded and anyone who visits your fundraising page will be able to watch it).

Add another video
To add more videos to your ‘about you’ section, simply repeat the steps above.

Deleting a video
To delete a video follow step 1 above, then delete the web address of the video from your ‘about you’ panel.
