Setting up a fundraising team

Working with other people is a great way to boost the amount of money you raise. That's why Virgin Money Giving lets you create your own fundraising teams online.

So if there's a group of you who would like to raise money together, you can simply set up a team page which each team member can sign in to and update.

Please note, if you haven't already you'll need to register with Virgin Money Giving first, as will any team members.

Getting started

Create a new page under the 'Start fundraising' section, and when asked 'Are you fundraising on your own or with other people?', tick 'With others'.

When you reach the 'Team details' tab you can tell us a bit more about your team and who's in it.

Setting up a team page

Step 1
Give your team a name and choose your team's Virgin Money Giving web address.

To check if the address you'd like is available, click 'Check address'. If it's not we'll offer you some alternatives or you can try again until you find one you're happy with.

When you've given your team a name and chosen a page address, click 'Next'.

Step 2
You can now invite people to join the team. To search for existing Virgin Money Giving fundraisers, simply enter their email address in the search box and click 'Search'.

Step 3
When you find who you're looking for, click 'Add to team'. Their name will then appear in the right of the screen.

If they're not already registered, you'll be given the option to send them an invite.

Step 4
Continue searching and adding people until your team's complete. (You or any other team member can add or remove names from the team at any time.)

When you've finished, click 'Next' to save your team details.

Step 5
Your team will now be set up and you can customise your team's page by adding content, photos and more ― as can other team members when they log in.
