Well it's quite easy and works :O)

I usually donate some money myself, but thought if I could use that money to get others to donate more money then that is putting it to better use.

So quite simply, I post everywhere (email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc) that I am giving away £100 cash to the person who correctly guesses my finishing time (or closest to it) and they are elidable to enter by sponsoring me any amount.

Creates a bit more fun for people to sponsor and they can win some cash for doing so! What a good use of £100 and the interesting part is some of the folks who do it say that if they win it they will donate to my fundraising anyway!

Much better to send folks an email saying "Win £100 by guessing my time for the London Marathon" vs "Please sponsor me for the London Marathon".

Cool and simple eh?

What a brilliant idea! That has definitely got my fundraising mind whirring...

You could even use it if you are able to get a fantastic prize i.e. posh dinner for 2! Just excellent.

Thats a great idea, so simple but yes defo got me thinking of more although 11 days trekking the himalayas..what could i say for that?? haha
