Dear Virgin Money Giving
I am slightly baffled that on an otherwise superb website, all the functionality is designed towards satisfying the fundraiser, not the donor. For example, unlike Just Giving, there is no facility for a user to see a list of all the donations made within a given time period (as recognised in your FAQs). This is very frustrating when trying to complete a tax return, and as the data must be held on your system, should be very straighforward to rectify.
In addition, when following a direct link set up by a fundraiser, and paying by PayPal, the website does not seem to give you the offer of signing in at a point within the donation process (even though there is a "Sign In" tab displayed), so you can pay for the donation, but it would be considered as a one-off (ie would not be recorded against a user's activity) as it happened while not logged in. I think (I could be wrong) that if paying by credit card, then you do get given the option to sign in, but I couldn't do so when I tried just now.
Would be interested in hearing your comments
Yours
Jamie

Agreed - this site is lacking basic functionality, and I cringe when people ask me for donations through it, rather than justgiving!

hi Jamie/Daniel
Thanks for your feedback, We're aware that it's not possible to see a list of your donation history through the Virgin Money Giving website, and it's with our IT team to consider for a future release.
I take your point about a donation not being recorded against your account if you use PayPal as your donation choice.
I'll raise both of these with our IT and Projects team so we can look to include them in a future update to the Virgin Money Giving Website.
In the mean time, if you contact our help desk team via theteam@virginmoneygiving.com they'll be able to give you a record of all the donations you've made.
They'll need your full name, postal address, and the email address you used to make the donation and will be able to come back to you with your donation history.
Hope that helps.
Antony
