When I was diagnosed with stage 3 grade 3 cancer 3 years ago, it opened my eyes to suffering, alienation, fear and loss of control. The scariest emotion was the loss of hope, that feeling that everything might not be ok. I knew I needed the meds to keep me alive, even though they ravished my once healthy fit and to me, beautiful body. Not only did the meds change my physical demeanour, opening me up to a variety of public opinion, from sympathy to alienation, but the physical pains twinges, sicknesses nausea tiredness affected me on a day to day basis, akin to coping with flu.

I was lucky though, because on the whole public opinion is on the side of Cancer Sufferers, hearing of charity events raising money for Cancer is constantly in our lives, and for this I am truly grateful. In June I am climbing Mount Snowdon, whilst still in remission and unsure about my future; I challenge the reader not to close the page when I say I am doing it for a local, less well known or popular charity called Porchlight . This Charity helps vulnerable homeless people, who shockingly the vast majority are mentally ill (our policy of care in the community gives them their medication on the streets) and the side effects that they live with on a daily never ending basis are flu like as explained above) Oh and by the way not many people feel sorry for them, or support them in fact they walk past them, have a think do you?

Before I tear my hair out can someone help?!

I created a page, based on raising money for 1 charity but now we are fundrasing for 2. Can I change it now??

I have started to create a new page but it crashed halfway but the website still thinks its 'in use'

So now I have 2 pages neither o f which are usable!

Please help!

Im planning a 48 mile bike ride on behalf of myself and for the Back-up Charity, coming up to one year since i had a near death accident.

I am fortunate enough to be here and recovering well, July last year i had a fall on my horse which involved my horse landing on top of me and breaking my back. I had to have a very major operation which included releasing my nerves and fixating my pelvis together. It was touch and go wheather i would be walking again. I spent a few weeks in hospital and 4 months in a wheeelchair. I've now recovered well enough to take part in this great bike ride.

But the most important thing is that im here to tell my story and give back to the charity that i became quite familiar with.

They do a great job in helping people with spinal cord damage by making their lives better and easier.

I want to prove to myself, my family and my friends how well i've recovered and also to say thank you for everyones support over the last year they have been the best, considering most of them thought i wouldn't be here to tell my story.

is there any way of changing my site address. I set it up in 2010 when I did the London Marathon and used VLM2010 in the setup. I am now doing another event and would like a new address.
