Chatham Synagogue Cemetery and Security

Why we need your help

It has been widely reported in both the local and national press that several gravestones have been upended and smashed in the old cemetery behind Chatham Memorial Synagogue, a Grade 2* heritage site.

This is the third time that our cemetery has been targeted in this way, the second in just over a year.

We urgently need to raise funds to both improve the security of the site so that this type of attack cannot happen again, and to restore the cemetery.

It has been suggested by many people that we do this via a separate fundraising campaign- so here it is!

We will be very grateful for any funds you are able to donate towards this important cause.

Thank you
