BIG event this weekend, hosted by the BIG 92.7 FM? - we are so hopeful for some of our Yearn to Learn students to attend what could be a life-changing experience for them, but we need YOUR help to get them there! For just £50 (Rs. 4910), 6 of our students can go and be a part of this competition, partake in a celebration of world environment day, and visit their capital which they have yet to see!
RISE AND YEARN TO LEARN
RISE seeks to restore the true spirit of education by enabling young people in rural India to overcome societal and self-imposed limitations.It seeks to reduce school drop-out rates in rural India through a sustainable supplementary literacy programme. RISE developed the Yearn to Learn Bengali literacy intervention programme in Krishnanagar, West Bengal, for 10 year old students identified to be over 5 years behind in their reading age and most at risk of dropping out of school. Our vision is to see every child in rural India, as literate.

92.7 BIG FM is India's largest FM station with a presence across 45 cities, 1200 towns and 50,000+ villages and a weekly reach of 4.2 crore Indians across the country is organising a sit & draw for kids upto 16 years in the occasion of world environment day on 7th june, 2015 on subject of PaniBachao, Life banao (Save Water, Make Life) India faces water crisis and potable drinking water is not available to a large number of population. 97.5% of water being sea water, it is salty and is not usable. Per capita consumption of water in India is increasing many folds. There is a need to spread awareness on the necessity of conserving water and stopping wastage.
