Run with the Rhinos 2020
Why we need your help
On Sunday 5th July, hundreds of runners will take part in the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k as part of the Run with the Rhinos team.
This year, fundraisers will be raising money to support both Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the Rob Burrow Fund.
Leeds Rhinos Foundation delivers projects in the heart of the community by harnessing the power of sport to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals’ lives.
The charity delivers a range of projects under our five principles of Education, Health, Sport, Art and Heritage. The engaging power of sport allows the charity to work with a whole range of individuals, delivering important lifestyle messages to inspire others to make positive changes to their own lives.
On 19th December 2019, it was announced that Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) a week earlier. A fund has been set up to support Rob and his young family of three.
Burrow, 37, retired from playing at the end of the 2017 season, his final game seeing him winning his eighth Super League Grand Final.
The father of three children, all aged under eight at the time of his diagnosis, played his entire career at Leeds Rhinos, making 492 appearances for the club following his debut in 2001, placing him in fifth in the club’s all-time list of career appearances.
