London Marathon 2020 - Shahil
Why we need your help
Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to read what I've got to say.
I'm Shahil, a Nepalese-born student currently studying at UCL in London. On the 26th of April, I'll be running the 2020 London Marathon.
This will be the second London Marathon I have run and both times I've been lucky to be able to run for an amazing charity called Kids First Nepal, who work to help disabled and disadvantaged kids and young adults in Nepal.
My first London Marathon in 2018 was undoubtedly the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life, but it was also the most rewarding. All the effort was worthwhile knowing that, through all your support, we were able to help those who are less advantaged and make a difference in their lives.
What does your support mean?
This year, ALL of the money raised will go to sponsor a Nepali physiotherapist, Barsa Khadka. Barsa works in Kathmandu to help disabled residents improve their walking, strength, and general wellbeing. In Nepal, many people with disabilities are segregated from others, but this allows us to help improve their overall quality of life and increase their independence. KFN and Barsa’s work is vital and we are very proud to be her sponsor. Please help to bring much needed support to this wonderful group of young Nepali people with disabilities!
No matter how far or fast I can run, none of this will mean anything without the support of you all; my friends and family. Please consider donating and lend your support throughout this challenging journey I have set myself on. We have set an ambitious goal of £3000 and I have no doubt that through all your support, we can reach this goal.
Thank you all for your support!
