Tyne Rivers Trust twopointsix Challenge
Why we need your help
We hope you're well during this unprecedented time.
Tyne Rivers Trust are taking part in the 2.6 challenge from Sunday 26th April which has been set up to raise money for the UK's charities.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on all charities, including Tyne Rivers Trust which has had to postpone its upcoming fundraising events, put a halt to normal grant applications and the delivery of some projects to improve the Tyne catchment for all.
Our challenge is to together run/walk/hop/skip/cycle 2.6 miles or km to travel the distance of the Salmon Run, from Tynemouth to Kielder Hatchery (83 miles), that we did in September.
Or you can raise money for the Trust by creating your own inventive 2.6 challenge that suits your lockdown circumstances such as walking around your garden with a bucket of water on your head, walking around your living room 26 times or climbing your stairs 20 times to scale the same height as Kielder Dam.
Please support us by donating or get fundraising for your own 2.6 challenge!
