Support Through Court 2point6 challenge

Why we need your help

Join the 2.6 challenge and help raise vital funds to continue supporting people facing court alone.

This is a challenge for all ages and abilities. All you need to do is think of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 that suits your skills and complete it on or from Sunday26 April. This could be something as simple as pledging to run 2.6 miles as your daily exercise to doing 26 minutes of yoga, or juggling for 26 minutes (or maybe just 2.6 minutes) non-stop. Check out the ‘how to get involved’ page on our website for more ideas and inspiration. And don’t worry if you’re not able to get out your house or flat for now – you can do your 2.6 challenge anywhere inside too! There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. Whatever you can do, you can be a part of it – the main thing is to get active, have fun and pledge whatever you can to help save the UK’s charities.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk #TwoPointSixChallengeThis is a challenge for all ages and abilities. Support Through Court

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many people's way of life and it has also had an adverse effect on charities, with many fundraising events cancelled.

During this unprecedented public health emergency, we are working hard to adjust our service to ensure we continue to support access to justice to those most in needMany courts are still functioning with a focus on priority cases such as domestic abuse, and family cases.

Courts have changed working practices to ensure people can still access the court system during this pandemic and where possible are using conference and video calls. Therefore, the need to support people before, during and after court remains high and Support Through Court will continue to adapt to best support our clients.

We have therefore introduced new procedures to provide support remotely whilst minimising the risks to our staff, volunteers and all those who use the courts and tribunals. Our national helpline has been a key support mechanism during this crisis. We have recently secured an additional 10 phone lines to help meet demand and have enlisted 100 volunteers to ensure our helpline is up to fully capacity and a full-time provision.
