Covid-19 Global Solidarity Appeal

Why we need your help

As Covid-19 reaches almost every corner of the globe, its spread will have far-reaching repercussions.

Covid appeal

The UN’s Covid-19 Global Response Plan has identified the critical need to secure the supply chain of essential medicines in order to minimise deaths and suffering from the pandemic.

No country in the world is fully self-sufficient in essential medicines. When flights are cancelled, ships diverted, and borders closed, this puts the supply chain at risk. As more people are unable to work, and government and charity incomes are squeezed, it’s harder for individuals and organisations to buy medicines. Urgent action is needed to ensure that life-saving, life-changing medications and health supplies can be delivered and provided free at the point of use.

At International Health Partners we know that, with your help, we can make a big difference to those living in vulnerable and precarious situations. In these challenging times, we will persist in getting medicines to where they can and will make a difference, using our logistical and technical expertise. Without these needed medicines, many people will die.

For every £10 donated, we can typically source and distribute around £100 of donated medicines to people in need, providing about 25 treatments. Costs per treatment may rise in more challenging circumstances, but our ability to leverage donated medicines from the healthcare sector means we will multiply the amount of your contribution many times – and increase its impact.

One of our partners told us this week

Covid appeal quoteViruses don’t respect borders; no single nation can defeat this alone. We have seen incredible acts of solidarity and support internationally, with countries helping each other to get through this time.

Please help us to source and distribute essential medicines, and to go the extra mile to make sure that medicines reach people in need by taking on a home-based sponsored challenge today.

If you would like to fundraise for International Health Partners please drop Rich an email on and we are happy to support in whatever way we can.
