Telford Carers Covid-19 Special Appeal
Why we need your help
It is estimated at least 18,000 people in Telford and Wrekin care for someone who couldn't manage without their help.
At this really difficult time, with our world turned upside down, it is even more difficult for family carers to cope with the day to day problems of looking after someone who may have a chronic illness, physical or mental disability, suffer from mental health issues like schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, depression and anxiety, or perhaps are elderly and frail.
The nearly 4000 carers, from 5 years old upwards, registered at the Carers Centre, can usually rely on us as a central point of contact for information, advice, respite activities, and face-to-face support.
As a non-profit voluntary organisation we rely a great deal on donations from individuals, groups and businesses.
Will you help us help our carers?
Your donation will mean we can contact every one of our carers to check how they are and to give them the support they deserve right now when life for many, and the loved ones they care for, has become extremely precarious.
They deserve all our support at this time.
Please give as little or as much as you can afford as family carers do so much, with little payment or reward.
There are a few examples below of what we could use your donation for, although we can assure you that any amount you give will be used thoughtfully and wisely to benefit as many of our carers as possible.
Another way of donating to our special appeal is to join Twincl, the Telford and Wrekin Community Lottery. Buy a ticket for £1 and 60p comes to the All Age Carers Centre. And you could win a prize. Link at https://www.twincl.co.uk
