Global Golf Day

Why we need your help

Student and Doctor

Join EFTC’s first ever Global Golf Day on Thursday 9th July.  Play from your local course and help raise £9171 to cover the cost of vital medicines for our students in Guatemala.

EFTC provides medicines to those students who desperately need them. Our work does not stop while the school is closed. We have to think even more creatively, both how to fundraise and how to get essential supplies and medicines to families who desperately need them.

Our medical support goes far beyond short term help at our school nurse's office.  In 2019, 117 students received medical support beyond the school and 32 of these beneficiaries receive long term medical support for conditions such as pregnancy, epilepsy, neurological conditions and ADHD.

Enter, COVID-19. Fundraising events cancelled, donations dropping, panicked team meetings. £100,000 lost from our annual income, just like that. If we can’t find a way to replace that income, services like our medicine programme will be at risk.

On July 9th, there will be two competitions – singles and a four person team. The suggested donation is £200 per team/£50 single.

Then, join us on Friday 10th July for our first ever prize giving ceremony held via Zoom hosted by football's Dean Saunders. We'd love to see you there as part of our thank you to our global EFTC supporter community. And don't worry if lockdown has left you chipping out of the rough, there will be prizes for best team photo, best photo/video recreation of Seve Ballesteros moment of glory at the 1984 open, loudest trousers, smartest golfer as well as lowest score.
