THE CRE8IN8 CHALLENGE 2020
Why we need your help
In these uncertain times, we have all felt the life-limiting effects of the pandemic. Many of us have felt isolated, confused and frustrated.
Some of us, however, have felt this strain more than others. Young and adult carers, people with disabilities, children and adults with mental ill-health, older people … for many of these individuals, isolation is part of their everyday life – and the pandemic has only made it tougher. They deserve our support.
Create’s mission is to reach society’s most vulnerable children and adults with the transformative power of creativity. Our projects reduce feelings of isolation and boost wellbeing. We bring people together in creative arts workshops that inspire, ignite imagination and build confidence. We show people that they are not alone.
Join us in the #Cre8in8 challenge by running 8km on 8 consecutive days – or 8 half-marathons on 8 consecutive days while raising money for Create.
Together we can empower vulnerable and disadvantaged children and adults through the creative arts.
Your support means that vulnerable children and adults in isolation will receive a vital creative lifeline by enabling us to continue to deliver programmes via our new online delivery mechanism, Create Live!
Donate £88 and you could help provide a young carer like Mary with the opportunity to take part in a Create Live! online workshop, where she can meet and make friends with other young carers who understand her situation, reducing her feelings of isolation. Mary’s story.
Raise £888 and you could provide a one-day workshop to ten adults like Colin who suffer from depression. Providing a vital creative lifeline helps to empower lives, reduce isolation and enhance wellbeing at a time of increased of loneliness and anxiety. Colin’s story.
