Why we need your help
In this time of tribulation, let us entrust ourselves to the Holy Father and Support him in his mission.
In a difficult year like this, there is an even greater need to, make a sign of belonging to the Church and of love for the Pope as a symbol of unit. Even the smallest donation will help Pope Francis in his activities of teaching and guiding the Universal Church.
Thanks to all the donations, it is possible to accomplish projects that allow Pope Francis’s presence to be felt by those who are suffering from the pandemic. In this crisis change is needed. The church is at the forefront in the world dealing with the consequences of COVID-19. The Church is brining humanitarian aid and health assistance to thousands and, through local churches, finding new ways to bring comfort of the Word of God everywhere.
How can or gifts reach the Holy Father?
This year, due to the crisis, the traditional PETER’S PENCE COLLECTION took place on the 4th October 2020. You can still donate to this good work by click the donation button below.
The Use of the Proceeds
The offerings of the faithful are intended to support the activities of the Holy Father for the whole Universal Church. These activities are carried out by the Holy See. The Pope, as Pastor of the Universal Church, is concerned both with the needs of evangelization (spiritual, educational, justice, communication, political charity, diplomatic activity, etc.) and with the material needs of poor dioceses, religious institutes and faithful in serious difficulties (the poor, children, the elderly, the marginalized, victims of wars and natural disasters; special aid to Bishops or Dioceses in need, Catholic education, aid to refugees and migrants, etc.).
Every service provided by the Holy See and destined for the universal Church is possible, thanks to Peter’s Pence. In fact, it guarantees the activity of the Dicasteries that assist the Pope every day in the exercise of his ministry. In order to ensure the maximum efficiency of the Curia, and the proper destination of the aid received, a process of reorganization of the Dicasteries has been launched in recent years aimed at minimizing the costs of internal functions in favour of those destined for assistance and missionary purposes.
