Ken's Marathon Walk

Ken's Marathon Walk

Why we need your help

Ken Allen walked a marathon on 19th November. He is now 71, which was the age of his mother when she ran her first marathon. Jenny Wood Allen was for many years the oldest female marathon runner in the world, and held all the age range records at World and British level. She completed her final London marathon at the age of 90.

Ken walked the marathon because his knees won't allow him to run because of damage caused by skiing injuries. He has walked from Strathblane to Croy and back, via and old railway line, and canal towpath.

This campaign will help the work of the Killearn Malawi Group, particularly in helping to equip a new Science/Library block at Nkhande Secondary School in southern Malawi, and other projects.
