Save a leg
Why we need your help
Earlier during Lockdown we were asked for help by a family to neuter approx 20 cats, this very kind family have been feeding this group of cats for some time even though they have their own issues, and on occasion can hardly afford food for themselves.
During the catching process a white cat was found to have a broken leg, on inspection and after x-rays the break showed it is very complicated, requiring specialist intervention.
Although we try and give all cats that we meet a chance, this cats has serious leg issues, which could have left us no choice other than be kind and say goodbye, but without telling a personal story we must do all we can to save this cat (who has been named),.
A specialist surgeon is attending the island on Tuesday the 24th and we are really hoping we can save this sad little souls leg. If he has not enough problems with his leg, being white he would suffer badly in the intense sun as well.
He has been offered a very good home, but we need help with paying the fee's we will need to cover.
Costs of €535, plus pre & post op care are what we are looking at.
Please if you can spare a few £ or €, this could make such a difference, not only to the cat, but in relation to the circumstances which in the future we may be able to explain, and tell why this cat is so special.
