Help Aaron Achieve
Why we need your help
Malawi Foster Care fosters orphaned and disadvantaged children in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Eight years ago we fostered Aaron... and against all odds eight years later, Aaron got a place in University studying social work. Aaron would like to give back, he would like to be a social worker so in the future he can also help disadvantaged young people.
Aaron has made us immensely proud - throughout the time he has lived with Martha he has been hard-working, kind and a fantastic role model to the other boys. In Malawi student loans don't exist and Aaron has no family who are able to support him with fees.
We desperately want your help to help Aaron achieve his goals and give back!
Aaron’s Story
It was a Monday morning, I was 10 years old and living in a village with my Uncle. I helped my Uncle with farming as I had no-one to live with. I didn’t go to school because I had no-one to pay for the school uniform. I had to work to eat. Life was not great then. The village head-man came to my Uncle’s home and said that a lady called Martha had come to our village and could offer a home, food and an education to orphans who wanted it. I did want it. I went with her on that day. In the beginning it was not easy to go back to school, I used to abscond as I was not used to it. But Martha showed me kindness and patience and kept bringing me back. My foster family showed me love and over time taught me to understood the importance of education and now I have got a place in University studying social work. My dream is to become a social worker so that I can go on to help others. Thank you for all the help you have given me and God Bless anyone who is able to support me.
It is our shared dream that Aaron will be able to transition from the support of Malawi Foster Care into the outside world, as an independent adult, with a strong education - giving him a life-changing opportunity that he would never have had and a career where he will be able to support young disadvantaged / orphaned children himself.
As a very small charity with nearly no overheads ALL of your donation go directly to supporting Aaron through University.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Aaron and for supporting him.
The target fund is to cover Aaron's University fees, transport cost and subsidised living costs for the full 4 years.
Any support given is greatly appreciated and will be making a life-changing difference not just to Aaron’s life but to the lives of whom Aaron will hopefully go on to support.
