Zero Suicide Alliance
Why we need your help
One life lost to suicide is one too many
Suicide kills more than 6,000 people a year in the UK. It’s the single biggest killer of men under 49 and women under 34. Suicide takes more young lives than heart disease, more than cancer, more than road traffic accidents or stroke.
You might think that only someone with medical training could help a person considering suicide. But everyone, everywhere can play their part in preventing suicide.
The ZSA Foundation is raising money to support initiatives that promote suicide prevention: we believe that suicide can be prevented.
About our work:
- Our life saving FREE suicide awareness training has been accessed over 1.7 million times. Anyone can gain the confidence to speak out and learn how to save a life.
- We develop bespoke training packages for different industry sectors, tailoring support to the specific issues faced by their workforces.
- Individuals, communities and organisations can access our FREE interactive ZSA Resources to support the wider suicide prevention work happening across our communities. These resources pull all the facts into one, easily accessible place – providing information about your local area, and linking to other areas that have had, or are having similar issues. So we can share the initiatives that work well.
To continue this work, and to save more lives, we need your help to raise funds. Please visit our website at www.zerosuicidealliance.com to find out more about what we do and to take our training today.
