TYAC - Teenagers and Young Adults with Cancer
Working together to achieve the best care for young people with cancer
Every day in the UK, seven young people aged 13 to 24 are diagnosed with cancer - that's 2,500 young people every year.
Around 310 will die each year from cancer. Cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in teenagers and young adults in the UK.
TYAC believes that every young person with cancer has the right to prompt diagnosis and age-appropriate treatment and support from specialist professionals trained in caring for young people with cancer.
We are a registered charity and the UK's only membership body open to all professionals involved in the care of teenagers and young adults with cancer. By providing information on best practice and new developments, training and support to our members, we aim to improve the quality of life and likelihood of survival for young people with cancer.
