MOPRS Activity Trolleys Campaign

Why we need your help

Staff in the Medicines for Older People's wards (MOPRS) at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust have set themselves the challenge of providing each of their wards with an activity trolley.

The trolleys are light and portable and will help provide activities such as sensory items, puzzles, music, arts and crafts, cards and dominos to more frail patients, specifically those with dementia.

Each trolley costs around £280-370, plus another £300 to provide specially-designed, dementia-friendly activities. We are looking to purchase 25- one for each ward.

The difference this makes to patients will be self-evident. Some MOPRS patients are in hospital for a substantial period of time, so bringing these activities to them will certainly brighten their day.

Please support the MOPRS staff in their campaign to enhance patient experience within their wards.

Thank you for your support!
