Why we need your help

This year the Shepherd's family musical Christmas Lights are in aid of the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. We hope you enjoy the lights which will be on from Dec 1st, the lights show between 16.30 - 23.00hrs, the music will play between 17- 21.00hrs.

Since Charlie’s death in 1997, his parents, family and friends have worked through the Trust to increase awareness of the symptoms and dangers of depression and remove the stigma that is attached to mental illness. As a family we are aware of the many young people who like Charlie, experience depression and other disorders with mental wellbeing, the challenges that they face and that for some, life becomes unbearable. We wish to support CWMT to continue to provide education & support through schools and universities to students, teachers and healthcare professionals so that the symptoms of depression are recognised and managed. Their vision is for a world where people understand and talk openly about depression, where young people know how to maintain mental wellbeing and appropriate treatment is available.
