IET Futures Fund
Why we need your help
It's no secret that there is a skills gap in engineering, and we're committed to addressing it.
Support future engineers today and we'll match your donation, pound for pound. So if you donate £50 - we'll donate £50 too.
In recent months, COVID-19 has swept across the world with an impact that will have lasting consequences.
We're contributing to the immediate response to the pandemic on a government and industry level, as well as supporting families with home-schooling resources. Our STEM education and scholarships and bursaries programmes are an important part of our long-term response. As we rebuild, it is vital that we keep engaging and inspiring children and young people to pursue careers in this world-changing sector.
Help us keep the spotlight on engineering and technology.
We run the UK and Ireland FIRST® LEGO® League and our own Faraday Challenge Days, both working to generate excitement and raise awareness of STEM subjects among young people, with particular focus on engineering. We reach thousands of children each year!
Scholarships and bursaries
For those already on the path towards a career in engineering, it’s important to recognise their talent and help them to overcome barriers to entry into the profession. We're proud to support hundreds of students annually through our Engineering Horizons Bursaries and Diamond Jubilee Scholarships, and the schemes continue to grow year on year.
Our Board of Trustees have released £1 million in celebration of our 150th anniversary. We're matching all new donations from 1 July 2018 to 31 December 2021. All donations directly support our fantastic educational programmes and scholarships and bursaries.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology is registered as a Charity in England & Wales (no 211014) and Scotland (no SC038698).
