Project Winston
Why we need your help
Can we Build It - for Winston?
Help us complete a £650,000+ building project at the RSPCA Animal Centre at Martlesham, which will replace six of the existing dog kennels with new, up-to-date blocks, as well as improving staff, volunteer and visitor facilities. The project cost has increased a lot since the original quote, with unexpected extras, including an entire new sewage treatment plant as the Environment Agency says our existing system isn't up to standard.
Half of the new kennels will be bigger than normal, to provide more room and better conditions for bigger dogs, like Winston. Winston was a sweet Newfoundland who came in to the Centre as a cruelty case, but he finally found his forever home with a family who loved him dearly.
The Branch already has £469,518 in grants, donations and legacies and we're raising the additional money through activities such as collections, events, a sponsorship scheme and asking our supporters to donate or organise fundraising events on our behalf.
This project is for Winston and all the animals that are still looking for the thing they want most - a loving forever home.
