Welcome to the Natwest, London North, East & Kent, Commercial Banking Team Fundraising Page.

This year, we have chosen to support ECHO (Evelina Children's Heart Organsiation) across all 8 offices within our Region (Bromley, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Stratford, Romford, Maidstone, Enfield and Dartford).

The charity itself consists of a small staff team, who rely on volunteers to help them achieve their aim of supporting children with heart conditions and their families.  All of the money they (and ultimately we) raise is used to provide their core services and support to children with congenital and acquired heart disease and their families.

We'll be undertaking various events throughout 2018 in order to raise as much as we can for this fantastic cause, ranging from a staff and customer soccer club challenge across London, to smaller, local events such a Ten Pin Bowling, Quiz Nights, Golf Days and cake sales.

So what does your donation mean?

1.  Last year we had over 800 new members to support an 18% increase than other years, our events and support have waiting lists and our numbers are growing.

2.  Over 280 expectant cardiac mothers and partners attended our bespoke specialist cardiac antenatal class, we have a waiting list for this year and your support will help prepare new parents for the uncertain road ahead and remind them they are not alone.

3.  Child and Family Support, last year we raised the spirits of children and their families, 823 heart children, siblings and parents through our varied activities and support, we help reduce the levels of anxiety and isolation by providing fun and friendship opportunities.

4.  ECHO Teens provides a fun, exciting, informal safe space for 11-17 year olds living with a heart condition or siblings as treatment gets better, children with the most severe conditions are living longer, last year we took 30 young people with life limiting conditions on their biggest physical challenge to climb up and over the 02 in London.

5.  Specilalist trained and supported volunteers offered 1,472 hours of support last year to children and parents who needed it most, the difference that volunteering makes to those families can be life changing.

6.  ECHO's qualified music therapist in the first year of our music therapy programme provided 77 children and 88 of their family members sessions in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the specialist cardiac ward for babies, children and teenagers, we want to double the number of sessions offered.

7.  Some families have to face the devastating loss of a child, last year 45 parents and siblings received ongoing support through our believe in you workshops, at our community day and by a small grant towards funeral costs or travelling home from hospital.

If you feel able to give to our team to support this important cause, please do so, as any donation you make is gratefully received, by both the wider Commercial Banking team in London North East & Kent, as well as ECHO and ultimately the families supported by them.
