Why we need your help

MACS is UK's leading charity supporting families with children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes. The impact of these rare eye conditions can vary, with children having no sight or poor vision in just one eye to a complete absence of eyes. Between 80 and 90 children born every year in the UK are very severely affected.

Having a child born without eyes is devastating and isolating for parents. MACS acts as a vital lifeline, enabling a network of affected families to connect with and gain support from each other.

We also provide a range of essential resources, advice and information services and give children and young people opportunities to participate in activities which boost confidence and encourage independence.
