Imaginate Inspiring Futures Appeal

Why we need your help

Imaginate (Charity No. SC016437) is asking for your help to enable more children to experience the world’s best theatre and dance at the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival.

Throughout 2019, we aim to raise £10K to help make the Children's Festival more accessible than ever before. The money raised through this appeal will support activities which are difficult to fund by other means, namely:

• Free Festival tickets for disadvantaged schools and groups

• An 80% transport subsidy for all schools who attend the Festival, no matter how far they are travelling from in Scotland

• British Sign Language interpreted performances for D/deaf children

• Relaxed performances for children with autism

Your donation will help give more children, parents and teachers from all backgrounds spaces to think, dream and be inspired together.

‘If you go to see this show, you would just feel happy, fun, joyful'. - Young audience member, 2018

What your donation will support:
£10 helps subsidise the cost of transport for 1 pupil to travel to the Children's Festival from outside Edinburgh
£15 enables a child and their carer to watch a performance for free at the Festival
£30 contributes to the cost of a British Sign Language interpreter for D/deaf children
£50 pays for visual storyboards for children with autism, helping them prepare for their visit to the theatre
£150 enables a class of 25 pupils from a disadvantaged school to attend the Festival for free with their teachers
Thank You!
