Jeff & Beth Latsa lived and worked in the Middle East for 12 years before joining GHNI in 2003. Although Jeff has been involved in disaster relief, his true passion is self-sustainable community development. He is one of the architects of GHNI’s development model, Transformational Community Development (TCD), along with the other Jeff – Jeff Power. In addition to this, along with Hal Jones, he helped develop the Million Village Challenge.
Jeff is the Field Strategy Coordinator for our organization but still gets his hands dirty by being the Regional Field Leader for both East Africa, as well as the Turkic and Persian Speaking world (Eurasia and Central Asia). He travels extensively to these regions.
Jeff graduated from The Ohio State University, and received a Masters in International Relations from the Middle East Technical University.
Beth is also a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BS in Occupational Therapy. Although she has worked in a variety of settings, for more than a decade her efforts focused on Sensory Integration for autistic children. She hopes to use her experience to help train people working with handicapped children overseas.
Together they have four children who have all served alongside them on various projects.
