Kelli's partnership with GHNI started in 2004 after the catastrophic tsunami in Indonesia. With three friends in Maui, she put together a spa day fundraiser to benefit Global Hope. Her involvement since then has developed with more fundraising, community development, disaster relief and a trip to Kenya to help start the first village in Gambella.
Her desire to help others started at an early age, as she lived in both the U.S. and Germany. While there, she traveled extensively through Europe, learning different languages and cultures.
Kelli's love for the disadvantaged grew as a teen, when she worked as a supervisor in a group home for developmentally and emotionally disabled boys. She soon found herself as a young mom of a disabled son of her own. Her greatest joy has been raising her three sons and additional foster children. She also takes great joy in mentoring and being a big part in ongoing relationships with high-risk teens in Maui and California who are now young adults.
Overcoming great adversity and challenges herself has given her compassion to help the less fortunate.
Kelli has now relocated to Florida and is excited to be serving with GHNI full-time and the experiences to come.
