The Jo Cox Way 2019

Why we need your help

The Jo Cox Way 2019

24th - 28th July
This exciting cycling challenge begins in Jo's constituency of Batley and Spen and rolls through the beautiful English countryside, culminating in Parliament Square in London 5 days later.

The journey symbolises Jo's personal journey from her childhood in Yorkshrie to representing her home constituency in Parliament as MP for Batley and Spen.

Through the ride, 50+ cyclists will be connecting communities across the UK using the power of 2 wheels and celebrating the #MoreInCommon values that Jo Cox MP championed throughout her life.

Anyone can get involved, be it through cycling the full route, joining for one day of the ride, cheering cyclists along the wage, welcoming cyclists to Westminster, helping the support crew or raising awareness about fundraising.

To get involved:

  • Find out more about the ride here.
  • Share the fundraising page here.
  • Get in touch with us at info@jocoxfoundation.org for help and info.
  • Follow @thejocoxway for updates

Together we are keeping alive Jo's legacy and celebrating the countless selfless activities that people undertake in their communities in Jo’s memory.

Supporting the Jo Cox Foundation - The Impact Your Fundraising Will Make

The Jo Cox Foundation was founded in 2016 to build a positive legacy for the late Jo Cox MP by championing Jo’s values and ‘more in common’ message.

We are led by the values that guided Jo’s life as a campaigner, activist and humanitarian; a proud Yorkshire lass and internationalist; and a devoted mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend and MP.

Our vision is a kinder, more compassionate society where every individual has a sense of belonging and where we recognise that we have more in common than that which divides us.

The Jo Cox Foundation inspires and galvanises positive change at local, national and international levels. We do this by partnering with visionary individuals and organisations who share our commitment to the fairer, kinder world that Jo committed her life to building.

Locally - fostering strong communities in the UK;
Nationally - building a better public life;
Internationally - standing up for vulnerable people around the world.

We have exciting plans to continue growing and deepening this work in the years to come to help build the kinder, tolerant world that Jo committed her life to.

Can't join you on the ride as I live in Hampshire but did a 32 mile ride today hence the donation. Have admired Jo, what she stood for and what continues to be done in her name. Good luck to the riders and three cheers for the charity.

Well done! to the bikers. If Jo had lived, in my view it is likely that she would now be making a huge contribution - a huge positive contribution - towards solving the current political mess. We must never forget "Better Together!!"
