Walking for Women
Why we need your help
Raising Support for Nokor Tep Women's Hospital, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
The building process of the Nokor Tep Womens Hospital in Cambodia has been completed and opened to serve patients on June 4,2019. There is a great need to make the hospital run better. Solar panels are needed to provide a steady supply of electricity to run the hospital. These will cost $125,000. Over the next 6 months Janne Ritskes, co-founder of the hospital, is determined to walk, run, bike or swim at least 12,500 kilometers for $10 per kilometer. Of course you know she can’t do this all by herself. If you would walk, run, swim or bike some of these sponsored kilometers then she can walk, run, bike or swim less - help us to achieve this goal by enjoying walks, runs or bike rides with family and friends and let’s make this happen.
You can do your own walk, at times and locations convenient to you, on your own or with a group of friends. If you would like to organise your own event, we are happy to help publicise it.
Thanks to George F for kicking it all off (2019 London Marathon) and Rosie D for participating in the International School of London 5K Run.
