The Good Food Project

Why we need your help

The Good Food Project is one of Fisherman’sRest’s community projects. Based in Malawi, Fisherman’s Rest Projects has been working in Malawi for the past 25years. FROM Wales (Fisherman’s RestOutreach Malawi) is the UK Charity we fundraise through.

We are focused on two area’s 20km outsideBlantyre City in the south of the country. Our vision is to see the schools and communities lifted out of povertythrough increasing standards of education, developing business in the area andin everything we do, we do it with the community. Our ethos is to reach out to people and give them a foot up in life not a hand out.
In return we work hand in hand with the communities around us fighting
with them to see change in Malawi.

A meal a day.....

The Good Food programme provides school meals to a massive 7000 children every school day. We have 23 primary schools in our area. Porridge means children can attend school. Porridge makes a massive difference to a child’s academic achievement.  Another 4000 children are eagerly waiting for The Good Food Programme to reach their schools…With you we will put smiles on their faces and food in their bellies – Thank you!
