Covid-19 has been devastating for professional dancers.

Dancers throughout the UK are facing prolonged uncertainty regarding the future.

As the UK’s only charity helping professional dancers to prepare for and transition into a new career after leaving the stage, DCD needs your help to continue supporting dancers as the reprocussions of the crisis are felt throughout the dance sector.

DCD needs to ensure that no dancer is turned away due to lack of funds throughout and beyond the Covid-19 crisis period.

In launching the 4Dancers appeal, DCD aims to double the charity’s voluntary income for the next two years. We are aiming to raise £300,000 to sustain DCD’s charitable programmes over the next 2 years.

Since the onset of Covid-19:

Demand for DCD’s expert one-to-one dancer support has increased by 83%

Demand for DCD’s personal and career coaching programme has increased by 400%

DCD has received double the number of applications for financial support.

This is the most incredibly challenging period for dancers and for DCD, but with your support we can protect our work and ensure all dancers in the UK continue to be supported in their career development for many years to come.
