Action Tutoring's 10 Year Anniversary

Why we need your help

March 2020 marks 10 years since Action Tutoring's first ever tutoring session!

Action Tutoring was started in 2011, beginning it's life as a pilot programme in London, working with two schools and 20 secondary school pupils.

Since registering as a charity in 2012 it has grown rapidly, now working in nine regions in the UK, including Newcastle, Nottingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield, London, Sussex and Chester.

In 2019-20 Action Tutoring worked with 2,108 pupils who received over 21,600 hours of tutoring, supported by an incredible 1,098 volunteers. We know we can have a positive impact on supporting young people to build their subject knowledge, confidence and study skills, helping to open opportunities for them both academically and within the working world.

To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we want to raise awareness of educational disadvantage and the work we do to level the educational playing field, whilst raising vital support to help our pupils.

We're looking for fantastic supporters who can either donate 10 hours of their time by signing up as a volunteer to one of our programmes, or donate £10 to enable us to keep supporting these brilliant young people.

We couldn't do the great work we do without the kindness of others. Thank you for your support!
