CADAS Photography Raffle
Why we need your help
At CADAS we work with individuals and communities to reduce the harm caused by substance use across Cumbria by:
- supporting young people (10+) and adults who feel their substance use is problematic
- supporting people caring for, or affected by, loved ones using drugs or alcohol
- delivering training and consultancy across all sectors, and
- training volunteers to deliver any or all of our services.
The pandemic has thrown many challenges our way. The challenge we now face is an increase in cases of poor mental health and dual diagnosis of substance use linked to this and we have seen an increase in requests for support by 25%, meaning we our helpline is receiving over 40 calls a month from all areas of Cumbria, as well as people attending face-to-face sessions, online support groups and wellbeing walks and other activities.
We are therefore delighted that to mark World Photography Day, on 19th August 2021, local photographer, Emma Stoszkowski, has donated a £50 voucher to us to use as a raffle prize and raise vital funds to continue our work. Emma's work can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/EmmaStoszkowskiPhotography and https://www.emmastoszkowskiphotography.co.uk/
Tickets are £5 each and the raffle closes on 8th October 2021. We will draw it at our Big Quiz night at the Castle Green Hotel on the evening of 8th October. Please contact us if you have any queries.
