2019 Gifts for children in CAMHS Units
Why we need your help
We aim to provide Christmas gifts every year for children and young people who are inpatients in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) wards across the UK over the Christmas holiday period. For 2019 we're hoping to reach more children and young people than ever before!
Our aim is to make as many children and young people who are inpatients over the Christmas holidays feel thought-about, special and included.
For the last three years, we have fund-raised to send gifts to CAMHS units in the UK. The feedback from the units included:
"Young people really appreciated the gesture and the gifts they received"
"What a lovely idea, embracing the true spirit of Christmas!"
"Appreciate the support you are giving to young people with mental health issues"
We're using VirginMoneyGiving so we can collect GiftAid, as we are registered with HMRC. The money doesn't go anywhere other than buying gifts, any leftover money after Christmas will go towards our running costs (our website) or towards gifts for next year.
For more information, please see www.christmasforcamhs.org.uk, our Facebook page, twitter, or instagram
If you have gifts you'd like to donate directly to your local CAMHS unit rather than money to our fundraising, you're very welcome to - please contact us so we can help put you in contact with your local unit.
