Bongour

Bongour is home to at least 10,000 people in Chad. The people of this community are primarily farmers, but after many years without progress they have been slow to reach higher. Recently, however, their worldview has begun to change, and now the community would like to implement TCD. 

Currently, their biggest obstacle is a scarcity of clean water. Although they have hand-dug wells near their homes that do well during the rainy season, the dry season renders the wells virtually useless. During this season they're forced to trek several kilometers to find streams or government-provided water stations, which often have long queues by the time the villagers get there.
