Research Fund

Why we need your help

Medical research is hugely expensive. As a small charity we can encourage it and try to support it. We have already funded meetings at medical conferences, worked with the USA CVS organisation and given money in partnership with them to fund research.

We want to create a fund to be used to promote interest in CVS research among the medical profession. This will be done in a number of ways:

a) fund small pilot projects to assist researchers to have enough data to create a full grant proposal to bigger funding bodies,

b) fund travel grants for medical students, junior doctors and other health care professionals to attend our meetings and learn about CVS,

c) fund travel grants for medical students, junior doctors and other health care professionals to attend medcial conferences that are relevant to CVS,

We have increased awareness, we actively support sufferers and their families but research is that hardest and most expensive aim. Having a dedicated fund to promote research into CVS is the first step to being able to fund bigger research projects ourselves.
