Caribbean Hurricane fund

Why we need your help

Following the latest news relating to Hurricane Dorian and it's expected effect on the Caribbean area, The RIBI Disaster Recovery Trust has re-opened its "Caribbean Hurricane Appeal".

Right now, other emergency providers are giving immediate help e.g. medical aid, food, water and emergency shelter. The RIBI Disaster Recovery Trust appeal is being created to offer long-term help once immediate needs have been met.

Projects supported by the RIBI Disaster Recovery Trust fund will deliver sustainable community projects in the reconstruction phase. These could include the rebuilding of homes, schools and other vital community resources.

By donating, you are happy that a 2% administration fee will be deducted from your donation to support the trust (in addition to online charges) and that, in the unlikely event that no suitable project for the area could be found or the government in the area declines support, the donation will be moved to the RIBI Disaster Recvery Trust General Disaster Fund after five years. More details of that fund can be found here
