Treating Epilepsy in Fiji

Why we need your help

Children of Fiji is a registered charity in both the UK and Fiji and is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children in Fiji. More information on our work can be found on our website www.childrenoffiji.co.uk

One of our current campaigns is to help the large number of children in Fiji who suffer from epilepsy.

The children's department of the main hospital in the capital has no diagnostic equipment for epilepsy.

This campaign is to raise money to purchase a robust portable EEG machine that will be based at the Children's Department of the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva. It will however be able to be taken to other islands and used to test children without them having to travel to the main Island.

We are working in conjunction with Bristol Royal Hospital for Children in the UK and sharing the expertise between the two hospitals

This appeal unites two causes that we care about. Children of Fiji for all the amazing, tireless work you do in so many areas. An EEG because Chris' younger daughter died due to an epileptic seizure, so we know how crucial good diagnosis & management are.
