Why we need your help

Cumber Farm Cart

The Farm Cart

The Charity box in the form of an old Berkshire dray with imitation sacks of corn, one of the sacks is provided with a slot designed for silver collection was presented by Past Master, William Cumber CBE in 1957. The Charity box was enlarged in 1991 and modified again in 2011 to allow for bank notes.

Used at each Livery event, donations are collected in the Charity Box and often raises well over £1,000 at each event.

Due to the Covid19 coronavirus pandemic which has prevented meetings, the 'Virtual Farm Cart' has been created and Liverymen and their friends are invited to make a donation to the Charity Box which goes to the work of the Farmers Company Charitable Fund.
