Our annual High Holy Days appeal is an opportunity for the community to make a difference.

This year we are seeking to support 4 charities as part of the High Holy Day appeal.

You are able to donate online or can send a donation to the office.

Macmillan Cancer Support

We want to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same.
There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to 4 million by 2030. We want to make sure we can provide support to everyone who needs it, to help people affected by cancer feel more in control of their lives.

It’s a big task and we can’t do it alone. But there are lots of ways you can get involved and help us achieve our goal, from fundraising, to volunteering and campaigning.

Together we are all Macmillan.

Israel Religious Action Center

The public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel, IRAC was founded in 1987 with the goals of advancing pluralism in Israeli society and defending the freedoms of conscience, faith, and religion.

Today IRAC is the preeminent civil and human rights organization in Israel focusing on the issues of religion and state and is the leading Jewish organization that advocates on behalf of a broadly inclusive Israeli democracy, infusing social justice advocacy with the spiritual energy and humane worldview of Progressive Judaism.

World Jewish Relief Refugee Crisis

We are the British Jewish community’s international humanitarian agency. We tackle Jewish poverty, primarily in the former Soviet Union, and reach beyond our community.

Radlett Reform Synagogue Kitchen refurbishment

In addition to the wonderful charities listed that we are asking you to support, we always include a special project in our own synagogue community where our funds do not stretch far enough.

Food glorious food! Food is an integral part of  our community and we pride ourselves on our tasty kiddushim, regular chavurah suppers and our varied festive treats including our popular communal Seder.

However our kitchen is tired and in much need of refurbishment. Use of the kitchen is increasing with communal lunches and more hall bookings bringing in revenue for our community.

We are also obliged to meet strict regulations of the Food Standards Agency.

Some of the essential refurbishment will be paid for out of regular, carefully managed synagogue funds, but we need your help to make it a space that our community really wants to use.

All donations will be distributed equally across all the charities.

If you would like to donate to a specific charity or charities please tell us when you make your donation or contact the office.
